hello cebu!

over chinese new year, we took a short family trip to cebu. its my first time to the philippines and bub's too and since we had my mum in law in town, figured it would be the best time to visit together!

we stayed at hale manna coastal gardens, about 3 hours from cebu airport. and this is their own house reefs at low tide. our little city kid had a fabulous time hopping around looking for sea animals and critters. wished we knew more of their names but we made it up and were very careful to not touch them!

we signed up for a few day trips out from halemanna! first up was to go snorkeling. the tide was so low the boats couldn't come closer. this was our boat guy helping blake walk and eventually swim towards our boat!

spotting dolphins! amazing how close we came to them! one thing we found out this trip about blake, he is fearless in the water. he was instantly ready to jump into the water! ever so often, he would say "is it now?" "can i jump?" and we would all yell NOOOOO!!!

first snorkel!! very gentle water and shallow reef which made for a great experience especially for kiddies!!

p.s. he styled this picture and climbed onto the edges of the boat because he wanted to be Moana for his best friend! lol! uncanny resemblance huh!

in the same day, he spotted massive sea turtles and a billion sardines! he had such a fabulous time and we couldn't be prouder! hes decided he would work hard on his swimming so he could be a certified diver by the time he turned 10. i cannot wait!

then at least i'll have a little dive buddy!

xx
