as we're starting to fall deeply in love with a new place, there is a spot in my heart that is not completely at ease. and im just going to let it out here..
cos under all that moving-in excitement and perfection, it would never be perfect without our first baby. we thought long and hard about bringing him with us. but the long flights. the being in a confined space away from us. the cold. the new environment... everything added together and did not make sense for him.
we found a friend who is taking extremely good care of him and he's started eating well (for the first time in his life!! even stealing food from his pal!) and sends us pictures ever so often of our dear muffin. and they're the cutest family too! so we're so happy to have them in our lives!!
still each time we pass a dog, we would all coo and fuss over them. and when we step through the door, blake still says "tadaima, muumuu" (japanese :: i'm home). and we miss him curling up at our feet dearly!

ReplyDeleteAww, it must be hard for you guys to be apart from Muu. We always miss our dogs when we travel so we can understand but your friend is taking such a good care of him so don't worry and enjoy exploring the new place.
