villa bersantai, bali

one of the highlights of bali (to me) is the villas! my favorite part of trip planning is picking accommodation!

daniel has since given up in trying to take that away from me... now i get to shortlist a whole bunch of my favorite hotels / apartments / villas all based purely on aesthetics and he'd analyze them closely based on reviews, location, function!! then i get last pick!!

this time, we communally decided on villa bersantai in seminyak! it was a three bedder with a common area, a butler and a touch of bali in its decor. i wished we got to enjoy the villa bit more!!

we loved the open layout of the villa which meant that at any time, we were all up in each other's faces! (lol you know what i mean!!!) the butler we had was nice enough, gave us a thorough briefing and a phone before he left for the evening! i must admit it was nice to have a 24 hour concierge at our doorstep but it was doable and they turned up first thing in the morning for breakfast so it was not a huge deal!

i loved the tiny touches in the welcome drinks, the pool towels, cable tv and tonnes of dvd for after hours!! the location was lovely! it was just off the road from kudeta and walking distance from seminyak square! so just the right mix of shopping and dining!!

and the pool, of course! was the center of attention! however we did note on the first day that most of the pool is SUPER deep. its for grown ups and proficient swimmers at that!! so if you have little kiddos, watch them like a hawk!

oh! and bonus points for squirrel spotting in the garden.. kept our little guy entertained for many mornings!!

tip :: we booked our villa through vilondo. the prices are the same but they arrange for return airport transportation which was brilliant as we didn't have a private driver!

    1. hi there! :) its a good space inside but its quite a hike from the main street and the lack of a 24 hour concierge meant that we had to figure out a few things ourselves! i'd recommend villa kiss instead!

  3. Hi there! thanks for the recommendation. I've just check out villa kiss and their 3 bedroom villa is not available on my travelling dates! So sad. i guess i will book villa bersantai then. May i asked if the villa is safe, do they have like 24h security? cos i've heard from a friend that the villa she stayed in bali was broken into and they lost all their material possessions, but thank God they were not harmed in anyway.

    1. They do have 24 h security. A single guard stands by the door all the time. But the path leading to the villa is pretty dark so if possible I'd avoid walking home alone after dark. We were pretty lucky during our stay and hope that you'd be too!! Have a blast!! xxx

  4. thanks so much for your time dear! i've just sent the booking request via Vilondo, awaiting their confirmation. Sorry 1 last qn, did you engage a personal driver there? or just take taxis to get around. i have 6 adults and 1 3yo toddler boy.

  5. we got their concierge to coordinate drivers for us! :) but if you're able to engage your own driver, they can pick you up from the airport and all! so much easier!!!

if your boy wakes up early, go to kudeta for breakfast! so quiet and so much space for kiddos to run around!
