when muu came to us, he was not a particularly well-trained dog. very well behaved, yes. but following instructions has never been his strongest suit...
one particular thing that bugs me is... he barks at the doorbell. that's the only time he barks. on any regular occasion, i don't mind it as much. but since he takes afternoon naps with blake, the minute he barks, everybody wakes up and my freedom is cut short! so i've recently started googling ideas on how we can train him... no concrete plans yet but i found this video and it completely cracked me up!

I saw that video! It's really quite funny. Rusty is probably very capable of that! Re door bell, might have to ring it a few times to condition him to it? Then reward if he keeps quiet? But what do I know... Rusty is just as noisy. Need patience. haha

ReplyDeletewhen blake was littler, i did a loserly post-it over my doorbell saying "call our phone, DON"T RING DOORBELL. WE WILL KILL YOU" something like that! lol
