we love weekends and kith...

when blake was littler, we used to pop over to p.s. cafe every weekend for an early cuppa coffee and brunch. but we've found their service a bit patchy and if we miss the early morning window, that place is mayhem and very un-child friendly...

so we went around trying a few different cafes and our favorite of the moment...
 kith by the river!

tucked in a quiet corner of robertson quay, all their seats are outdoors and scattered along the sidewalk. service is brisk and fuss-free. and food is always reliably good! i love it that if i forget to bring a meal for blake (which unfortunately happens quite often..) i can order a side of avocado or feed him a bit of my toastie! daniel is a huge fan of their coffee and i always get their juices so blake can take little sips from my glass!

and they are open at seven am! perfect for early birds!!

because its outdoors, many customers bring their pets along for breakfast so whenever he's feeling up to it, we bring musashi along too! (that kid's a diva!) they toss a box of well-loved toys out on the pavement and kiddos run around playing with each other. definitely not for germaphobic parents because there is a lot of toy sharing and dog loving and munchkins chewing on each others toys. but everyone is so relaxed about it there we don't feel bad to let blake roam free!! we often find him trying to chat up another family or playing with someone's scooter's wheels. :)

mini-digression :: blake's a messy kid. when he drops a snack or a toy, we pick it right up and pop it back into his hands/mouth. i dislike it when the minute something drops, there is silence in the room and you can hear everyone gasp and whisper "oooo they should never do that..." behind our backs.
*massive roll eye*

anyway, none of that judgement there. we always have a lovely time and the littles get to run around to get the ants out of their pants and by the time we piled them back onto the bike and home, they're ready for a massive long nap!!

an absolutely brilliant way to start our weekend!!

p.s. we put on longer shorts on blake when we're there because he gets grazes and grubby knees from all the crawling!
