to the florist.

last week, we snuck out during one of blake's gloriously long afternoon naps.
onto our bikes and off we went!

we used to do that so often in tokyo that we've taken it for granted. we'd zip around town to catch up with our friends, meet up after work, cycle home together and out on weekends adventures but after we've moved home to singapore, it has been excuses after excuses and our poor little bikes have been sitting in the basement dusty and forgotten.

so we took them out for a whirl to the wholesale florist! daniel rides in that direction often when he goes for his long runs but it was my first time riding in singapore so i was pretty freaked out by the traffic. the roads in singapore aren't as cyclist-friendly and the pavement aren't really built for cycling. so it took a long time for me to get used to it. but it was an easy and nice workout nonetheless.

we got home safe with a huge bunch of beautiful roses. just like we used to...
but this time, when i walked through the door welcomed by musashi, an extremely delighted & rested baby (and our mum) it suddenly struck me how awesome life is right now.

so so much to be grateful for.
xx

Indeed, there's too much we take for granted.
