getting organized for the new year

one of my favorite things about starting the new year is starting a new organizer!

i know that in this day and age, its prolly more sensible to use the calendar in my phone but i love having an excuse to shop for stationery and little stickers to adorn the pages...

and fill the pages with birthdays and anniversaries of our nearest and dearest...
(my new year resolution includes remembering and sending birthday things in advance!!)

one of my must-do in every organizer is to add extra "storage" space! firstly, i dig out all the stray envelopes (cute ones preferably) and promptly get distracted by all my cutie stationery...

then i attach them to pages throughout the organizer.

i typically add one each quarter and an extra sturdy one at the back of the book. through the year, i keep ticket stubs, pictures, empty birthday cards (for last-minute emergencies... cos last-minute is my middle name) and little notes that daniel leaves me so i have them with me all the time!

p.s. i keep writing 2012! it usually takes me 2 months before it hits me that "its the new year already, woman!"
xx

  4. You know, I almost got for you an organizer for Christmas! But figured you would have already gotten one. I love the envelope of treasures! Methinks I shall hunt for an organizer just to stick that envelope in. For me, I use a lot of 'to-do' lists.

  5. Hehe glad to know that I'm not alone. I buy organisers every year to jot down stuff tho like u said it's easier to store everything in the phone but I still like having a physical organiser to carry around. My fave place to get these was in The Loft! Love that place!
