it's official. we don't have a tree this year.
i keep waiting to see if daniel changes his mind or i have a suddenly burst of energy to go lug it home myself but i can safely say now, its defo not happening...
we'll just have to make peace with the pretty sparkley trees in our hood and take many touristy pictures with them. i can't help but feel a little guilty that our home doesn't look the least bit christmassy. today, i spotted this cute (and inexpensive) idea today from in the fun lane!
a simple length of ribbon to add a holiday touch to everyday things...
THAT i definitely can (and will) do! :)
hope your home is filled with christmas trees, twinkle light
and holiday cheer!
xx
theres still 5 more days to xmas! Keep the hopes alive...
ReplyDeletehahahah! :) ok i think he read this post. and we're going to pick up some christmassy flowers and a mistletoe tomorrow! hahah! :)
DeleteYou're not alone, I've heard several bloggy friends say they were skipping trees this year. You can still add a bit of Christmas cheer around your home though. I think the simple red ribbon is such a nice touch. I'd love to see pics of how you use ribbon in your place if you get a chance. :)
ReplyDeletei would really love a tree but the space in the apartment is just not ideal! :) ahhh first world problems obviously! :)
DeleteWhy doesn't he want a tree?!!
ReplyDeletecos he's a pooperscooper.. hahah.. just kidding. he is just being practical. we won't be able to keep a live tree alive. and we don't have storage space for a fake tree....
DeleteHmm I will take a pic of my boxed up tree in Jan k? Maybe it will convince him ;) It's quite compact.
ReplyDeleteplease do!!! next year we're defo having a tree! we balanced our presents on a stool.. so ghetto! :_(
