... found ourselves in singapore!
it wasn't that big a surprise to us... but in the spirit of celebrating when things are concrete,
we've waited a little longer to share the news.
we've moved our little family to singapore!!
japan has been great to us, and we miss it badly already but daniel got a job opportunity we've been waiting for for aggggessss so we took the plunge.

japan has been great to us, and we miss it badly already but daniel got a job opportunity we've been waiting for for aggggessss so we took the plunge.
we're super excited to catch up properly with our fabulous pals
and build a home for our growing family..
needless to say, musashi is back with us and living it up in our serviced apartment.
he's going to get such a rude shock when we move into our own (littler) home in a month!
but truth is, im a little nervous.
the last time i properly lived lived in singapore was seven years ago!!
in
between, i was in singapore for a short while (i met daniel the
week i returned!) but was a little unsettled and we travelled soooo much. so it
didn't feel like the "real deal" to me. but this time, we're commited to
be back for a little while!! and im scared!!
(i might actually need to get a contracted phoneline!!)
(i might actually need to get a contracted phoneline!!)
daniel has been rallying for this move for a while. he's a little singaporean at heart. and is super excited to be back in the land of yummy hawker food, sunshine and triathlons! he's lined up his first race next weekend, no time wasted!! he's currently "retired" but will start his new job soonish.
but as you might imagine, everything looks different and brand new!! so drop me a note if there is anything you think we should definitely check out!
in the meantime, we're going to limber up, pick up a kopi-o and
settle our bums in.
stay posted for more little adventures in singapore!!
bisous!
xx

Hi, been following your blog for a while. Happy to read that your family is now in Sin :) Did they require Muu to be quarantined when you arrived? Hope not - otherwise he will have to bear with the stress of being away from you for a month.
ReplyDeleteyayyy!! thanks for reading (and dropping me a note!) today feels like a special day to be getting so much loving! :)
Deletemuu didn't require quanrantine but he did reqire A LOT OF PAPERWORK...
quanrantined would have sucked. you should have seen me sobbing at the airport cos we had to be apart for SIX hours from him!!! *sigh*
heh small world! i saw you, hb and muu at cineleisure this evening! if you saw someone in black office wear, checking you and esp muu out, that was me! :)
Deleteheh small world! i saw you, hb and muu at cineleisure this evening! if you saw someone in black office wear, checking you and esp muu out, that was me! :)
DeleteReally?! We were there to support our pals at the Lacoste live event! Except we were all so sloppily dressed!!! Next time come say hey!! ;) muu would love more attention!! ;)
DeleteWelcome baby babe. I'm sure you would have no problem settling in! Think the last time I saw you was at DES, wow, that's really a looooong time ago. :)
ReplyDeletetotes! i think that was a bazillion years ago! i also met zac then and it has been urm a little more than what.... 6 years!! craziness!!
DeleteCongrats on your move! It's good to be around family, esp with a little one on the way. Maybe I'll see you around :)
ReplyDeleteindeed!! :) do holler if you see us waddling in the streets! by us i mean me and muu.. daniel walks fine on most days! :)
DeleteOh WOW!! More big news indeed!! That was quick!! Welcome back to Singers! ;) And if you ever need a pal for Muu, Sparky is always available to make a new friend. ;) Settle in well.
ReplyDeletethanks honey! im reading your posts everyday and dutifully noting down the awesome eats in town!!!
Deletei wonder if they'd get along... my doggies (at my parents home) nearly ATE muu alive today. meanwhile, muu was all quiet looking really offended. poor little guy! he had no clue what the other two were so upset about!
Sparky is pretty good with small dogs... in fact, he likes them alot.. I sometimes think that Sparky thinks he's a tiny dog. Sigh, if he only knew.. hehe
DeleteHope you guys settle down soon.. it may be a little overwhelming but take the time u need. And feel free to give a shout-out if there's anything I can help u with ;)
Japanese food cravings included.. hehe
Thanks honey!! I'm not worried about sparkey!! The rude one is dear old musashi here!! Sigh... ;)
DeleteHope you all settle in fine and dandy into your new (albeit temporary) home til your actual home is ready! :) Hope to see many more adventures and I hope that bubs is staying put and not kicking your bladder and so on! xD
ReplyDeleteThanks honey but zero chances on the staying put and not kicking!! The littlest Allender is fiesty!!! Xx
DeleteWelcome home, hons!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's gonna be peachy back here for the Allenders :D
Fingers crossed! Man I had the biggest freak out today! House hunting is a major pain in the bum!!!
DeleteOh my, I hope everything is alright!
DeleteHave an awesome weekend, hons ;)
Oh what big news! Welcome back. Just the perfect arrangement for the little one on the way. Will miss your random posts on Japan though :)
ReplyDeleteI know right?! Talk about good timing!!
DeletePs that's why I'm taking a break from teaching till after I become a momma! ;)
Wow. Good for you. I remember how it felt like when I moved back home after living on the west coast for six years. I'm sure you'll be excited that your little Bun can grow up around family and friends, which was one of the reasons I moved back home. Can't wait to read more on your adventures in Singapore.
ReplyDeleteI'll still be asking about your recommendations for Tokyo since I'll be visiting in November. Congrats to you and Daniel. Oops and I can't forget Muu to.
Neene
