this morning we woke up and ....

... found ourselves in singapore!

it wasn't that big a surprise to us... but in the spirit of celebrating when things are concrete,
we've waited a little longer to share the news.
we've moved our little family to singapore!!

japan has been great to us, and we miss it badly already but daniel got a job opportunity we've been waiting for for aggggessss so we took the plunge.

we're super excited to catch up properly with our fabulous pals
and build a home for our growing family..
needless to say, musashi is back with us and living it up in our serviced apartment.
he's going to get such a rude shock when we move into our own (littler) home in a month!

but truth is, im a little nervous.
the last time i properly lived lived in singapore was seven years ago!!
in between, i was in singapore for a short while (i met daniel the week i returned!) but was a little unsettled and we travelled soooo much. so it didn't feel like the "real deal" to me. but this time, we're commited to be back for a little while!! and im scared!!
(i might actually need to get a contracted phoneline!!)

daniel has been rallying for this move for a while. he's a little singaporean at heart. and is super excited to be back in the land of yummy hawker food, sunshine and triathlons! he's lined up his first race next weekend, no time wasted!! he's currently "retired" but will start his new job soonish.

but as you might imagine, everything looks different and brand new!! so drop me a note if there is anything you think we should definitely check out!
in the meantime, we're going to limber up, pick up a kopi-o and
settle our bums in.

stay posted for more little adventures in singapore!!

bisous!
xx

  11. Hi, been following your blog for a while. Happy to read that your family is now in Sin :) Did they require Muu to be quarantined when you arrived? Hope not - otherwise he will have to bear with the stress of being away from you for a month.

i wonder if they'd get along... my doggies (at my parents home) nearly ATE muu alive today. meanwhile, muu was all quiet looking really offended. poor little guy! he had no clue what the other two were so upset about!

  18. Wow. Good for you. I remember how it felt like when I moved back home after living on the west coast for six years. I'm sure you'll be excited that your little Bun can grow up around family and friends, which was one of the reasons I moved back home. Can't wait to read more on your adventures in Singapore.

I'll still be asking about your recommendations for Tokyo since I'll be visiting in November. Congrats to you and Daniel. Oops and I can't forget Muu to.
