something in our home...

the husband has an endearing obsession with ziplock bags...

at any given time, we would always have a collection of all different zippies. we never run low! and because i tease him so much about it, he has taken to hiding them in his wardrobe so i don't find them and ban him from buying more.

p.s. i practice the same trick with my heels.. :)

pray tell! it'll be fun to find out....
what do you have in your home that you'll NEVER run out of?

  1. Do fresh towels count? I'm a little obsessed with doing my laundry, especially having clean towels fresh from the dryer! It gets a little excessive too because i separate the bath towels from the kitchen towels from the floor rugs from the cleaning towels. So i do like multiple separate tiny loads. Very wasteful!

  2. Ok Daniel and I have this in common! ZIPLOCK BAG LOVE! *fist bump
Mm I always try to have a packet of ghiradelli baking chocolate chips, frozen puff pastry and butter so that I can always whip up something if guests come by.

  3. Haha no kidding about the Zip Locks!! Your photo didn't have 1/5th of the Zip locks I saw on your moving day in Tokyo. I've never seen such a huge stock pile outside of Costco. You couldn't find Daniel's new secret hiding place to photograph his Zip Locks, huh? :P

Let's see.. I'll never run out of dirty Q-Tips appearing everywhere around the house. And now that you're not here, I'll never run out of dessert! I'm still working on this chocolate cream pie, and as much as I love it, having it 2x a day for the past week is getting mundane. Haha

  4. hahah i love it. Ziplock bags are like gold over here- no idea why.

I personally have about 10 cans of pumpkin. One summer I had an intense craving for pumpkin and there was NONE in the stores. I think there was an honest-to-goodness pumpkin shortage that year. Anyway, as a result when it came back on the shelves several months later, I grabbed a ton of them. I've used quite a few, but I always get another can when I go to the store. I will never run out of pumpkin again.

    1. PUMPKIN!! :) wouldn't have thought!!!

hehe when we were living in cambodia we used to stock up on chicken noodle soup like that too! the shipment from usa seem to come in randomly so when it's in stock, we always buy them all off the shelves!!

  5. Hahaha. Ziplock bags. Too funny.

As for me. I have suddenly developed an unhealthy collection of washi tape, deco tape and kawaii memo pads. They just seem to multiply overnite like rabbits. I've had to ban myself from welcoming more into my home. Luckily, just like ziplock bags and heels they are small enough to easily hide.

  6. Mint Chapstick! Since I always have one in reach - each car, desk at work, nightstand, kitchen drawer, makeup pouch, each handbag that I rotate through, gym bag and husbands pocket when we go out (it was silently in our vows - grounds for divorce if he can't put out upon request) - I keep a stash of 4-6 ready to replace any of the above when they run out. Mom replenishes us each Christmas! :)

  7. mine is a little weird.... but i have an abundance of soil improver!!! bags and bags of them!!!

harder to hide in the closet, though i justify my chronic purchase thanks to the sprinkler ban in Perth. i'm paranoid my plants might die in a near mad max, apocalyptic future. everyone will perish..... except my plants!!!! muahHahahaHA!!

p.s: got some IKEA ziplock bags that are pretty nifty!! ooh. oooh!!! and how cute are those sandwich bags that come with a booklet of stickers to fasten the flap down with instead of the "zip"?!!! maaaan i love those!!!!

  9. Oh I could have sworn that I replied to this, but I don't see it so I'll comment again. Our house will never run out of dirty Q-Tips that keep reappearing all around the house no matter how often I throw them out. Also, we're never running out of dessert now that you're not here! Last week, I ate chocolate cream pie twice a day everyday, and I finally finished it this past weekend (and gained 5 pounds). I wish I could freeze and ship it to you!

  10. lol! your life-long battle against those q-tips! :) i was lamenting to daniel why you didn't bake more often when we were in town. and his response. cos you girls were always out shopping! Lol

  11. In our home, you'll never run out of tissue paper! I have an obsession with buying tissue paper. All sorts! When I travel, I actually go to the supermarket or drug stores to check them out. Yikes!

  12. Seems like I can't reply to your comment.

To answer your question. I just pile all my washi tape in a box. Same thing with a deco tape. You'd think I'd have a more creative way to store them. Now you got me thinking.

I'd love to see your version of the washi tape rack if you ever get around to making one.
