we've been on the slower side acquiring things for the baby.
but for super ultra planners like us, it is more of a deliberate decision to hold off on the shopping.
we're truly excited but we both avidly believe in celebrating when things are rock solid, signed on the dotted line, confirmed...
(if you know what i mean... )
but this week, i picked up a few balls of yarn from my favorite craft store...
and started making this little crochet pennant.
i think it will look cute above a nursery or maybe at a "welcome baby!" party...
as i stitched, i sat quietly enjoying the little nudges in my tummy and thinking how the only thing comparable to that is the flurries of your heart when you are in love. and how apt that is. i sat thinking of how our little bubsie is already making (our) world a much better place. and how priviledge i am to be enjoying this moment exclusively with our little one.
oh little one, how our lives would change when you arrive.
and how much we're looking forward to that! :) love, papi, mami & muu.
*fingers crossed*
xx
that is such a cute bunting and this is such a lovely post babe...
ReplyDeletethanks hon! :) i guess i must have picked up crocheting at the right time!! maybe thats my internal maternal clock!!
DeleteWhat a gorgeous bunting! I hear you on waiting till its fully baked. I keep my fingers crossed all the way till my babies come out. :)) and no announcements till 5 months preggie. :) but can I just say I think you guys will make the coolest parents! xx

ditto what Pam said!! i was reading somewhere that a child acquires his mum's intelligence and his father's personality/ emotional traits. with both of you.... i gotta say, what a combo!!!!
ReplyDeletei love the colours of the pennant. wish i could say something more intelligent other than those crocheted triangles reminding me of this crocheted bikini i bought in Bali some years ago. dead tired from the 13 hour flight. any more baby craft projects you been up to?? share!!!! hurhurhurhur!!
oh man! i worry for my child's intelligence..
Deletedude! i totally thought that too! in fact, my mother in law said i should crochet one for myself which i found to be the FUNNIEST thing ever! firstly, preggo + bikini + bad stitches... secondly did i mention my MOTHER-IN-LAW suggested that?? lol
So pretty. You are inspiring me to pick up crocheting (I can knit in straight lines and that's about it)!
ReplyDeletethat's me too!! :) i use youtube to learn most of the stitches!! :)
