craft :: basket weave blanket with scallop trim

this will be the last of my baby blankets. i finally feel ready to move on to bigger (figuratively speaking) and more sophisticated crochet projects.
plus i've ran out of babies to make cosy blankets for!! :)

inspired by delia creates, i decided to make my own! but instead of using a thicker yarn as she instructed, i got thinner yarn which seriously took FOREVER!!!

good thing baby blankets aren't meant to be that big in size..
but they make up for it in coziness!!

our little poppet thinks its for him again!

he was so heartbroken when i wrapped it up
and sent it to nagoya for a sweet little baby girl-to-be!

she'll be the first princess in the family!
and im sure a gorgeously darling one too...
we're soooo excited to meet her.

p.s. linking up to tea rose home's craft party.
