weekends :: in tokyo

i grew up in a family that always has weekends packed full with classes, zoo trips and visits to my grandma. i kinda miss the crazy noise that comes with big chinese families...

but in recent years we've become accustomed to lazier and slower weekends.

last weekend, we woke up really slow...

and had a lazy lunch date with these two...
(excuse muu's bit of food hanging out from his mouth... he's a messy eater)

he likes his own seat where he can see what everyone is doing...

we always have the pasta lunch set at canal cafe.
the weather was too beautiful so we took a long walk in the neighbourhood and visited yasukuni shrine before dropping in for a cuppa coffee.

our little family before we crashed in bed for a loooong nap!!

muu loves weekends like these!
(lol his face!)

  4. HAHAHAHAHAHA muu-kun's eye! XD

    Ahhh I know which weekends you are talking about! At home it was the same...I think my mum was more tired after the weekend that before it came. Frantic house cleaning, taxi-ing us to sunday Chinese school, the swimming pool, or visiting Windsor Great park, the mall, the zoo, grandparents house, etc. So much hustle and bustle! They still do similar things every weekend but I am just not with them! XD

    1. me too! :) i heard the garden slug allows doggies!!

      does maki like going out?

      truth is... muumuu is on the fence. i think he has fun when he's out running about. but each time we come home, he acts like we MADE him run a marathon and passes out for a few hours!!

  8. Maki LOVES going out. he will run to his dog-carrier each time we head into the room to change .. indicating that he wants to come along.
    we usually head over to Robertson Q cos most of the restaurants there are doggy-friendly. and my fav jap bar is there too!
