our littlest :: we're half baked! :)

been getting a few lovely emails and have not gotten round to answering them cos we've been traveling. so here goes...
how is our bub doing? (good.) are you still traveling? (yes, im clear to travel till august.) are you big? (im showing and yes, i feel like a whale.) are you eating sushi? (yes, but selectively.) do you have a boy or girl? (we're keeping that a surprise.) are you going to write about it? its very silly but we are very nervous about things. but all's well!!

we've been logging our bump using fruity pictures of how big our bub is.
it has been an obsessive search for the best looking fruit in tokyo.
but a fun (and yummy) project to work on.

how's muu? he makes a patient companion on sick days because he curls up with me and rhythmically breathes into my bump. its the most soothing thing ever.
you should try it, preggo or not!

we're super excited that a few of our close friends are also pregnant. some of them with due dates merely weeks away from us. i dare say our bub will grow up with some fine company. it would be so fun to have a stiff drink and sob when the going gets tough. having pals that send emails like "man! i wished i didn't wear such slutty clothes in the past" & "did you know that your boob would grow soooo much?" really makes my day.

talk about things changing..

im having a hard time grappling with bodily changes. its all part of carrying a chubby tummy bub with "very developed bones" (ie heavy) but im clinging on to pre-pregnancy clothes & heels for dear life.

other than that, life's made sweeter with unlimited foot rubs.

as for the husband, we've spend many long evenings chatting about our (frequent) use of expletives at home, working with muu's needs and moments we look forward to sharing with our baby. and that part's been really lovely.

we're open to parenting &/or preggo tips!
so if you have any insight, send us some love!!

xx

  2. I love the series of photos! I clung on to pre-preggers clothes too. In fact I refused to buy maternity clothes and wore regular clothing which meant my wardrobe has shrunk to only a few outfits by the end. Only ended up having to buy one maternity dress for a wedding.

    1. heehee!! i know what you mean! unfortch, my pre-preggo clothes are so darn revealing and plunging!! *sigh* i wish i had the heads up that backless & braless clothes don't qualify as maternity wear!!

  3. so THAT'S why you bought that fig!! i was a little perplexed that you went to look for fruit in Midtown, and I was more perplexed when you kept mentioning how perfect it was. And come to think of it now, I was also confused when you asked for decaf coffee. I should have put 1 and 1 together!

  6. WOMAN! You are still small in my opinion at least when I saw you last week! And you are nowhere near a whale not even a dolphin or big thighs!

  7. GREAT series of pics. You don't look whale-like at all! Maybe coz they were taken from the front. When you say you are keeping the gender a secret, do you mean you don't know as well or you are just not announcing it to the WHOLE WIDE WORLD? ;)

    1. haha! :) exactly! it take another mama to know what i mean! my side-view is hilariously out of shape! :)

we're just not announcing it! thought it would be fun to send a "its a XX!!" kinda birthday announcement when the bub arrives!

  9. We had to really watch our language when Peanut dropped the "f" bomb in the right context a few months ago, and followed that up with the S word later - toddlers are sponges!

Also a sling is fantastic if you don't want random strangers coming up to you and poking at bub.
