the best time of our lives...

i was writing to a friend who was getting married at the end of this month. and in my letter, i wrote to "enjoy this special moment in life, because its the best time of your lives". i sealed it with a kiss and a sentimental embroidered gift in the mail. and all the love i had...

i truly meant it but when re-reading it, it made me think a little. the months leading to our wedding was truly spectacular. we had everything we wanted. our hearts and jobs were at the right place, we had lost so much weight (from living in cambodia) without effort and was financially comfortable to cover our celebrations with ease. and we were marrying each other. life was pretty darn good.

but everything got better.

it really did. we moved to a better place. our jobs took slight twists but we agree that it was for the better. our weight.. is work in progress. but our heart is at the right place still and our home is spanking awesome and our musashi... best thing ever! life is still pretty darn good.

we just got back from a legendary vacation, with goodies in our luggage, a fabulous tan and a tonne of pictures to share. i'm frantically flipping the guestroom cos our family is coming to spend mothers' day weekend with us. we're so blessed and in such a sweet spot now.

i daresay THIS is by far the best time of our lives...
& we're so excited for the months to come.

*warm hugs and hi-fives all round*

xx

  3. My gf just got married this weekend! And yes, seeing the beams and joy on her face was priceless. it really is worthwhile to take a moment on the wedding day to just stop in the midst of the chaos and activity, to just enjoy it. to stop worrying about the flowers or the guest book, and just breathe in the moment. :) great picture babe!
