craft:: napkin ring tutorial

for our middle-eastern luncheon, i made some coordinating napkins and rings to go with the colors of the feast.

they were really fast to make. i finished them all in one morning. i'll share with you the super simple napkin ring project here.

what you need::
fabric button kit
elastic
fabric
light interfacing (optional)

preparation::
napkin fabric - 6" x 2"
interfacing - 5 3/4 " x 1 3/4"
elastic strips - 6"
fabric button - one for each napkin ring

 iron the interfacing on

 press the mitered corners.

machine sew around the edge. iron it flat again.
then i sew the elastic on and the button on top.

and you're done!
to roll:: you wrap the length of ring around and napkin and use the elastic to fasten.

and repeat for as many napkin rings as you need.

my favorite napkin fold for this project.

or a little bow

or simply just as a napkin ring.

if you'd like you can also loop a little tag on the button for each guest
and it doubles up as a place-card!
im linking up to these craft parties!

happy crafting!
