swiss castles & snowy cap mountains...

facebook is a wonderful thing.

couple weeks ago, i got in touch with my swiss roomie and found out she was living in tokyo! how crazy is that! :) so in the blizzarding snow, we had 6 years of spectacular stories to share, pictures to show and boyfriends to swoon about..  life's such a whirlwind adventure! i had no clue she was living 400 miles away from me in the states right at the beach where i'd spent many sunny weekends with judy! and who knew we'd be catching in a little italian joint right smack in the middle of shinjuku!

the pictures from my swiss days brought back such lovely memories! it was a haze of chocolate-induced happiness, endless nights in the company of amazing friends and train adventures that took us to remarkably beautiful places.. and the charming french language. i could live there forever.

l'école

& the grassy yard where we spent countless afternoons "studying" mostly tanning.. of course before it became...

this. but this was pretty too.

our little mountain overlooks lac leman and french alps.

hanging with the young ones in lucerne.. all cuties!

one lovely christmas with my girlies and the swarovski tree adorned with so many sparklies!

i wash, he ironed. perfect combination!

i miss him and the impeccable ironing so very much still.

and of course, my best friend and i. she is my everything! :)

you know how you look back at old pictures and go "boy! those days were awesome." and then you come back to the now. and feel the rush of excitement for the things to come, promises of late winter skating in the park, early spring picnics and summery vacations... and realize that you're indeed leaving the dream... *sigh* & that truly makes me feel incredibly thankful & blessed.

hope you're having an incredibly awesome thursday!

xx
