my favorite things: my magic soap

this stuff's the bomb! every home's must-have i reckon! its an organic liquid soap with 18 uses all in one little bottle! apparantly you can also use it as a toothpaste. i use it for stubborn stains, to mop the floor, to give my vanity country and toilet one last wipe down. and it leaves a lingering light lavender scent. i squirt a generous amount into my wash and occasionally i run a bathe with it! we run through these bottles like crazy!

they come in eucalyptus (smells great too!), peppermint (my brother uses this after the gym), citrus, almond (?) , rose & tea tree in japan but there are more scents around the world!! if you can find it in your hood, give a travel-sized one a go. if nothing else, its a fun bodywash!

they retail for 1220 yen for a 8 oz. in most drugstore so not exactly the cheapest but i like it that its mild on the hands but kick-ass on the stains.

Do you need to dilute it?

  2. i've been using it since living in the US as well, and i like it (though probably not as much as you do!). it does dry my hands out a bit though...and i've never used it to mop the floor!

  4. compared to regular dishwashing & floor detergent, its much kinder on my hands but i've yet to use it as a shower foam.
i heard its drying on the hair so don't use it as shampoo though!!!

  5. certain things you dilute! i definitely dilute it when just giving the floor a quick mop.
but when it comes to stubborn water stains or stove stop, i go 100%!

  8. It's definitely available in SG.
Just not in those HDB areas or typical supermarkets. You just have to know where to look.

  10. hehe. i've been using this as shampoo every since i started no-poo in 2009. its really convenient and perfect for backpackers because you can wash from head to toe to laundry with this. i bought a huge bottle! it makes a good facial wash, good for sensitive skin cause its mild!

  13. "no-poo"? what does that mean?
its great for travel but i have not tried using it as a shampoo! does it dry your hair?

  14. no-poo means no (sham)poo. many believed that SLS shampoos are causing hairloss. i switched to castile for that reason because i just felt safer. it is really dry, thus you have to dilute it or you may even add essential oil in the diluted solution to make your hair soft and smooth. more here -> http://community.livejournal.com/no_poo/profile
i dun like it to clean my teeth cause of the taste. but i think it works better than toothpaste
