usa 2010: high line park

we spent a love afternoon chilling out in the park, an old railway structure turned into a gorgeous little bit of sunshine alongside the busy lower manhattan traffic. i loved the sunken observation deck that overlooks the street below and the lovely wooden chaise lounge chairs.

we were there in summer and there were sun bathers speckled all around. the park was still under construction so we caught a little work in progress (but i reckon that added to the charm too!

some of the little flowers we met.

the landscape by piet oudolf is brilliant and designed to mimic the wild flowers that spring up in abandon tracks. so simple but so beautiful.

soaking up the sun a little...

till the next time, i love you new york. forever and ever.

xx
