wedding crafts: diy ring pillow

part of the fun in crafting is how you reuse and style old things and turn them into awesome new things!! its dead simple to go out, spend a fortune and buy ready-made materials. but to work with what you already have in your home/ craft scraps and come up with something neat really really makes my day...

this is one of my favorite crafts of all time!

cut up an old dress of mine (made with black raw silk), it was getting a little old but i really love the unfinished look of the fabric and sewed two squares together...

some sparkle tulle, scraps from a hair-piece gone wrong...

stitched a diamante button from an abandoned hairpiece...

attached thin ribbons at the top and tadah! we have a ring pillow!

i love making ring pillows! they're super simple and fun to make!!

our weekend is filled with last minute intensive dance classes, in hope that we'll look as hot as the dancers on "So you think you can dance"! im bringing out the old dance leotards and shoes just to show im really into it!! We're also doing last minute catch ups with our friends before the wedding to calm our nerves. It makes me curl my toes in glee when i tell people "see you at the wedding!" or "see you at melbourne airport!"...

im soooo excited i type emails in CAPS nowadays! :)
