i want...

a couple of weekends ago, we visited our newly settled in, newly engaged friends.. we were invited for a splash-around in their pool and to check out their newly set up home. it was in an excellent location, with a great view and cosy. the apartment was not state of the art, not a multi-million dollar investment and their interior furnishing was done by an ah-beng contractor named ah-beng (in their own words) but it was just something else! it was just special. and she looked sooo happy and they were so proud of their nugget and we were all engaged to paint for a weekend (which im less excited about) BUT everything just gelled. they are wonderful people so they totally deserve it but everything was just right! it was such a happy afternoon just sharing that joy!

right when we left, i felt a little pang of jealousy. and i wanted a little home too!!! with walls to paint, with space to lay out my crafts. but daniel wanted something else. he wanted to move in right next to them and be neighbours. "so we can hang out all the time" said he. urm.. im not sure if they feel the same way about us but, ya sure! why don't you just invite yourself and move right in?

anyway, it may be a little too late for new year resolutions but whatever:

1) climb kota kinabalu (april)
2) save $30,000 by june (on track!)
3) get married.. finally!! without drama..
4) settle into our own place. for real.
