i've started writing about it earlier last month with some of yixin's amazing pictures. daniel missed the boat cos he was so slow with his photoset! *sigh* he mentioned something like having a full time job or others. so lame! (just kidding, honey! you go out there and bring home the bacon!) better late than never. here are some snappies from our camera! mostly of our pals at our table - the dancers.
as usual, we had a ball and in the table kept proposing random toasts the entire night through!! even though we were tucked in the corner of the ballroom (actually thankfully we were) we were soooo loud!! im such an auntie! i love a good yamseng! every celebration should be fun and bubbley like that!!
the costume change that took FOREVER... cos there were about 2456 intricate buttons on her gown to work on and we got locked out of the bridal suite! haha.. but she looked like a princess! so worth it! :) (ma, those are your earrings!! good job, very pretty!)
haha, being the vainpots we are, we gathered for table shots WITHOUT the bridal couple.. (sorry jerine! would have been nice with you in it though..)
one with bridey! :) thanks for dinner it was fun! :)
one question! im wearing the same dress for judybob's wedding in less than a month (cos her theme is green.) its a fitted bustier, cut out at the back with origami-like pleats as a skirt. how should wear it differently? accessories? any suggestions?
updated: a completely gratuitous full length shot of my dress... (and daniel who has not really grasp the concept of self-shots). lifted that phrase from one of my favorite blogs!
also, to answer some of your emails, i got this dress from warehouse in UK! they have some really awesome stuff in that store. and not to be precious about it but yes, i know its on sale now in singapore.. *pout*
I LOVE the 3rd picture! Your friends are completely oblivious! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow about wearing a shorter length black fitted cardi over? To change the look a little?
ReplyDeleteAnd use a chunkier type long necklace? Or dangly earrings?
If the sash is removable, tie a different colored sash for e.g. pink or something contrasting.
Looking lovely as usual :)
ReplyDeleteTry it with an updo and / or fascinator? Alternatively add pin-on corsages in a different colour on part of the bust line of the dress?
need a full length, front/back shot of the dress!
ReplyDeleteyeah!! they are hilarious!! the photographer had been yelling and counting down for ages!! *grins*
ReplyDeletewow!! great ideas!!! thanks hon!
ReplyDeleteoooo i love the updo suggestion!! i can totally do that! and i love fascinators!!! hopefully i won't look too bah (pudgey). i have some shoulder/chest insecurities!! :)
ReplyDeletethanks babe.. you are a genius!!
i updated the post!! (and am utter embarrased by how hiao i look in that picture..)
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, i don't have a back shot but its puffy all round and ends a couple inches above the knee!!
oh my, I am so talkative! but i loved that shot! Thanks
ReplyDeleteLove, Ah Leng

You shouldnt have any shoulder/chest insecurities! You look gorgeous :)
ReplyDeletelove the dress!
ReplyDeletei think a short sleeved crop cardi would look fab!

ReplyDeletenow i'll just have to make one in cambodia or shop for it in korea!!
thanks hon!! just some silly girlie issues!!
ReplyDeletep.s. i only caught a glimpse of your dress but i love it!!! its really pretty!!

ReplyDelete*fingers crossed* i only have two shopping nights before the wedding!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteI love your curls! How do u always get them so nice?!
ReplyDeletethanks!!! but i couldn't do it myself!! i tried in the morning with my curling thongs but only managed some weak waves.. i actually sat for HOURS in the hair salon curling them piece by piece!!!
ReplyDeleteim sure you'll find something!
ReplyDeletei cant see them clearly but i'm sure ah boy would have something to say about those shoes =)
ReplyDeletelike in a GOOD for bad way???
ReplyDeleteCan't see too clearly still, but you look adorable! Definitely something contrasting (a bright fuschia sash around the waistline maybe?), and your hair in a different style. Or, leave the dress alone, just add a little capelet, or wear one of those gorgeous bib necklaces that are a showpiece unto themselves (I know someone who makes gorgeous pieces and is on Etsy!).
ReplyDeleteBTW, those shoes are to die for...are they Loubies??
im thinking of this one in black!
ReplyDeleteif you don't mind can you send me your etsy recommendation too?
p.s. spot on! its so yummy im thinking of buying the pink ones too! :)
i love your dress!
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!!! Here's my rec:

Tell her I sent you...she's really really sweet and lovely. She does a lot of pieces with lace, so pretty!
And YES those Loubies are DELISH...totally tempted to get themself! Are they comfy to wear (for a long time)?
wow!! great recommendation! i'd love to own a piece (or many..) of her jewellery!!! thanks babe!! :)
ReplyDeleteas for the loubs!! oh man! BEST investment ever!!! ok i used that phrase way to often when it comes to shoes.. but seriously, they're really comfy. i can dance salsa in them all night!! they run a little smaller in size so i had to get half a size down :)
Cool!! Make sure you post what you buy ;)
ReplyDeleteBTW are you on Twitter? am @minipei if you are!
