bob's in da house! ;)

long story how judy got a very manly name bob!! i love to retell her story so much so that im sure most people now know her as bob already! ;) teehee.. but i was super glad she flew into town last weekend for 6 days just to hang out.. and i took a friday off to take her around. and just cos it was judy, the skies took a short break from the endless dreary rainy spell that hit us out of the blue and blessed them with beautiful weather throughout their entire vacation!! (even followed them to tioman!!)

Yoomee & Judy.. (cheesy but you HAVE to take a picture with the merlion if you come to singapore, no? ) we walked there all the way from Central Mall and took the touristy bumboat so we went by twice!

and i realized that i don't know what ths merlion story! dang.. shame on me. 

so i wiki-ed it! " Based on the Singapore Tourism Board's publicity campaign, the lion head and fish body of the creature recalls the story of the legendary Sang Nila Utama, who saw a lion while hunting on an island, en route to Malacca. The island eventually became the sea port of Temasek, a precursor to Singapore."

still doesn't really explain why its a lion head with a fish body.. 

met daddy & mom for lunch at Jumbo Resto and had a copious amount of seafood & greasy noodles!! and the ladies impressed mom with their impeccable beijing-accented chinese! haha.. if i could i would have dug a hole in the ground! *sigh*
