black friday sale

Black Friday

1. A day of stock market catastrophe. Originally, Sept 24, 1869 was deemed Black Friday. The crash was sparked by gold speculators, including Jay Gould and James Fist, who attempted to corner the gold market. The attempt failed and the gold market collapsed, causing the stock market to plummet.

2. The day after Thanksgiving in the United States. Retailers generally see an upward spike in sales and consider this to be the start of the holiday shopping season. It's common for retailers to offer special promotions and to open early to draw in customers.

and whoever thinks you have seen the worst shopaholics at the bi-annual Mango sale has to see this for themselves! the stores were opened at midnight and me with my silly "wah! sale!!!" attitude, plus the fact that i thought no other idiot will be awake at midnight trooping in the cold searching for good deals mindset was in for a HUGE surprise! gosh! i was waiting in the line for a parking space for 1 hour and when i finally hit the stores, it was crazy as well. but you know how when you have been waiting for 1 hour, you think what more is another half hour so i was chomping on my seaweed snacks in the car listening to Xmas tunes following closely behind Judy's car, while on the phone with her.. crazy girl started taking pictures of me from her rear mirror.

well, bottom-line. everything was amazingly priced when when you weigh a $40 saving versus being in a line for an hour, you do the math and figure out that "hey! i get paid for less than $40/ hr so this is not worth it." and it took so much pain to walk out of ninewest and put down my delicious soft suede boots that would go oh-so-well with my new purse. *dang*

but coach was a must-stop and to put it in simple terms, i think my kids will be inheriting their worth in coach bags. (no pictures 'lest my dad disowns me.. but im sure they will pop out in some of my pictures in the near future!! *winks*)

finally jumped into bed at 5am. thank god my boss knew me so well and insisted i take an off day today!! maybe i'll just take the chill pill and hang out at him, do some laundry and catch up with some dvds. while making eyes at my coach bag(s).
